I've played WoW and a ritualist is analogous of a druid. In the fact that druids can heal, tank, and do damage at the same time yet they aren't the masters of it (except healing which they can do the highest amount to one target.) Much like druids ritualist are more of a jack of all trade type of character which you can have multiple options of ways to play (which is why i love them so) healing, tanking, or doing damage. I tried a ritualist as my first character playing guildwars period. At first it was a drag but when i created alt characters assasin, warrior, monk, elelmentalist (some deleted ) nothing gave me as much options as the ritualist. So I suggest trying a easier class first such as a n/mo listed ealier and trying the ritualist later.
